Fitness Assessment – You will begin by going through
a complete fitness assessment. Your Chicago Personal Trainer will objectively
measure every parameter of your fitness level. The assessment will be
repeated after you have been participating regularly in our personal training
and nutrition program for three months, and again after every three months
to follow. These objective numbers are used to monitor your progress (see
Tracking Results below). The fitness assessment includes:

Three Body Fat Measurements.
We measure body fat in three different ways, to ensure precision (Bioelectrical
Impedance Analysis, Infra-Red Analysis, and Skinfold Protocol). No
single method of body fat assessment is 100% accurate, but if all
three methods yield a similar result, we know we are as close as is
possible.

A VO2 Max Test. We use
several different protocols (yours will be based on your age and level
of activity). The VO2 Max test tells us what your level of cardiovascular
conditioning is.

Personal Training: Our Chicago Personal Fitness Trainers are all degreed and Nationally Certified.
We only accept the highest level of certifications – no mail order
or Internet certifications. All of our Personal Fitness Trainers have
a minimum of five years of experience, must pass a rigorous internal screening
process, and must continuously pursue higher education. We don’t employ “Club Trainers”.
Any routine, no matter how
good it is, can’t keep producing results for long. That is because
your body quickly becomes accustomed to the routine, and no longer needs
to change. What makes it even worse is that a routine that changes infrequently
can actually increase the chance of a repetitive stress injury.
These routines also become boring, which makes it harder to stick with
it. All of our certified personal fitness trainers are experts in varying
your workout at every meeting. That way, you won’t get bored, and
you won’t get repetitive stress injuries. Your body can never get
used to your routine (and stop changing) because you won’t have
a routine.
Tracking Results: Your Chicago Personal Trainer will give you a weekly fitness goals form.
This keeps you accountable to yourself and your Trainer. This tracking
process will take you less than one minute per day, but in our experience,
it has produced some amazing results. Your fitness assessment will be
repeated at three month intervals. Your parameters will be monitored to
ensure that:
